Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone. I had an awesome day opening all my presents. When I was giving the presents under the tree out to the rest of the family, it was like "One for you, three for me!"

Thanks to everyone for my cool new stuff :)

Trip to Australia

I had a really awesome two weeks in Australia, visiting the theme parks and zoos. It was so hot that Mum let me get wet all the time :) At night time though, it was hard to sleep because I was hot and I would wake up really early in the morning. Sometimes, Dad would get up and take me for a walk while Mum had a sleep in.
Some of the cool things I got to do was play with a Kangaroo....

Get my ear nibbled by a baby goat........
Float in the pool in my new floaty thing.......
And play on the beach with Mum and Dad :)
Thanks Grandad, Nana, Uncle Dave, Aunty Tegan, Uncle Ryan, Aunty Billie, Uncle Kieran, Aunty Charlie and cousin Lily for a really cool holiday, lets do it again soon!!

Uncle Ryan's 21st party

On Saturday we went up to Christchurch because it was Uncle Ryan's 21st party (his actual birthday is on Monday). Dad had already gone up on Friday night so he could go paintball shooting with everyone on Saturday morning. He got some bruises from being shot! Then in the evening we all had a BBQ and drinks (which Mum said I wasn't allowed). Nana made Uncle Ryan an awesome cake with his favourite cow on it which he blew the candles out and we all sang Happy Birthday. This is a photo Nana took of Uncle Ryan, Uncle Dave, Mum and Uncle Kieran.

Busy week

I have had a very busy week this week. I've been learning all sorts of new tricks. Now that I can crawl, I am getting into so much mischief! This week I have learned to sit up and get back down all by myself (there's been a few crashes), and I can pull myself up onto my feet on the furniture but then I lose my balance and crash. Sometimes Mum catches me but sometimes I bump my head and it hurts :( And yesterday, I got my first tooth! I've been trying it out on Mum's shoulder but she jumps and says "ouch, don't bite Mummy, Georgie". Mum said she will try to take a photo of my tooth and put it on here so everyone can see it, but here is a photo of me standing up all by myself.

And here it is! My very first tooth......

My new tractor

I got a new tractor and Dad is not allowed near it! I love steering it and playing with the levers. Mum says I'll be allowed to play with it in the sandpit when I'm bigger, but I'm not big enough yet.

This weekend, my cousin Charlie came to visit me. He is 10 weeks old now and smiling at me lots. His Mum, Dad, Grandma and Grandpa also came down and we had a fun weekend.

Holiday with Granny and Pa

On Saturday we drove all the way up to Christchurch and then flew to Wellington on a big plane. We then had to drive another 4.5 hours to get to Granny and Pa's house in the Hawkes Bay. The whole trip took us 11 hours but I was such a good girl and had some naps in the car. Granny and Pa were so pleased to see me and said that I was a big girl now :)

On Sunday, Aunty Bel and Uncle Rog came over for lunch with cousins Ella and Libby. We had great fun playing in the bath together.

On Monday, Dad had to work in the woolshed, crutching sheep and lambs. Mum and I helped some of the time between my naps. In the afternoon, Granny took me for a nice long walk in the buggy.

And then on Tuesday, all too soon, it was time to leave. I was really tired by the time we got on the plane but luckily I fell asleep on Mum for some of the time. I had a good holiday in the North Island :)

I can crawl!

After lots of encouragement from Nana, Grandad, Mum and Dad and a strict strength and conditioning programme from Uncle Ryan, I can now crawl! I love to chase Meisha the cat around and pull her fur. Luckily she is very patient and doesn't bite me.

Dad burns tractor down

Dad isn't very happy today :( He was taking Grandad's tractor up to the other farm when he saw smoke coming out if it. He tried to stop it but it burst into flames. Nana and Uncle Ryan raced down the road to where he was with a fire extinguisher but that still wouldn't put it out and it burned it all down. Poor Dad was upset but it wasn't his fault because some naughty birds had got into the motor and built their nest in there.

My friend Dayna

My friend Dayna came up to visit me for a few days. He had to stay longer because the winds were so strong he couldn't drive back home to Invercargill. He helped catch heaps of whitebait while he was here too.

Bye Bye Nelson

This week we packed up all of our stuff and put it on a big truck. It is going up to the North Island but we are going to stay with Nana and Grandad down on the farm for awhile. On Monday I went and said goodbye to all my friends in our coffee group. I will miss them lots.
Nana and Grandad arrived up on Monday night, thankfully to help Mum and Dad with all the packing and cleaning up of our house. It was just as well they came up because Dad broke his hand on Saturday in his last game of rugby for the season.
On Wednesday the big truck arrived, but 3 hours after it was supposed to and Mum was getting annoyed. It was also one of the wettest days we'd had in Nelson, so everyone got a bit wet loading the truck.
Once that was all done, Nana, Mum and I got in our truck and drove down to Hanmer while Grandad and Dad brought our car. We stayed in Hanmer that night which was lovely.
On Thursday we caught up with our friends Sarah, Emma and Harry. Harry was only a few weeks old when we met him. And then it was the long trip back down to the farm. I was getting really tired and grumpy by that stage and let Mum and Dad know! I yelled & screamed for the last hour and a half, despite stopping several times and getting cuddles from Mum and Dad. I had just had enough!
But now I'm great and loving being back on the farm, helping like a real cow girl.

Trip to Wellington

Yesterday, Mum, Dad & I flew up to Wellington for the day. My Uncle KJ was playing for Canterbury U19 against the Wellington team who they bet and won a big shiny cup :) We also got to see Nana, Grandad and Aunties Cush & Jac.
We came back home on the ferry, driving a nice new vehicle that Mum & Dad had bought. I slept most of the way home but as soon as we got home and Mum got me out of the car, I threw up all over her. Mum ended up kicking Dad out to the spare bed so I could snuggle with Mum in their bed because I was upset and needed cuddles all night.
Today I'm feeling a little bit better but not quite 100% yet.

Getting warmer

Now that it's getting warmer, Mum is letting me play lots in the nudy rudy :) It's so much fun because I can roll over and scoot around on my tummy easier. Mum said that it won't be long until I'm crawling properly and that she'll have to baby-proof the house. We are going to watch Dad play rugby this afternoon, I hope he wins!

This is me going to sleep

I'm not very good at sleeping during the day now. I think I'm a big girl and should be allowed to stay up all day but Mum thinks otherwise. So when she puts me to bed I try everything to get back up again. You can see my latest trick in the pictures. Mum said she'll have to tie me down if I keep doing it :(

Two weeks down on the farm

Mum and I went down and stayed with Nana and Grandad on the farm for two weeks. I had such a good time down there. We did things like checking the cows, getting cows & calves in, bringing the cows in at milking time and taking them back to their paddock, feeding the calves, bringing cows in to the shed that needed help to calve & driving the motorbike. I didn't sleep very much during the day down there because I wanted to be up and helping. When Mum put me to bed for a snooze, I would yell and cry until she came and got me, then I would smile and laugh at her. One day, after refusing to go to sleep, I fell asleep in the backpack on Nana's back while she was walking some cows in to the shed!

We got to see Great Nan & Grandad, Uncle Dave, Aunty Tegan & Lily a few times too.

I was so busy down there, Mum is worried she won't know what to do with me back home!

Uncle Ian & Aunty Christine (Mum's uncle & aunty) came up to visit me this weekend. On Saturday we went shopping at the market and then went and watched Dad play rugby. He bet the Canterbury B team so he was happy.

Trip to Rotorua

On Thursday, Mum & I flew up to Rotorua to visit some friends. We had two flights up and two back. I was such a good girl the whole way, Mum was so proud. We had to sit next to a man on one flight coming home. By the look on his face, he thought it was going to be a horrible flight for him. But of course it wasn't because I just lay on Mum, sucking my thumb and wondering why the man wouldn't look or smile at me :(

5 month plunket check

Busy Weekend

On Friday after work, we all drove over to Blenheim to watch the Makos play Hawkes Bay. I really liked dancing to all the music. We stayed the night there because Dad was playing Blenheim on Saturday afternoon. We went shopping in the morning and then dropped Dad off at the park. I managed to have a little snooze on the back seat of the truck before we watched Dad's game, which he won. I slept most of the way home because I was so tired.

Down on the farm

On Monday, Mum and I flew down to Christchurch where Nana picked us up and took us down to the farm. There had been heaps of rain down there and we couldn't take the car through all the water so we had to park the car at a neighbours place and Grandad had to come and rescue us in the truck! It was Uncle Dave's birthday on Tuesday night so we had a dinner for him at home and then Nan's birthday on Friday so we had lunch in town with her. I have been helping on the farm too, checking cows and bringing cows and their calves into the pens. I even got to help Mum drive the motorbike! I'm looking forward to my next trip down there in a few weeks.

Off to Chch

This weekend we went down to Chch to see Uncle's Ryan & Kieran play rugby. It was freezing cold so I had to stay in my buggy with the storm cover all zipped up which I wasn't too happy about. They won their game so they were pleased. I slept in my new portacot which I liked because on Saturday night I slept for 13 hours! Mum thought that was pretty cool. On the way back home we called in and saw Uncle Ian, Aunty Chris, Scott, Cherie, Mel & Adam.

Sand between my toes

Mum and Dad took me to the beach today and let me play in the sand with my feet. It felt so nice! We didn't stay too long because even though it was sunny, it wasn't that warm.

Meeting lots of my family

This was the first time meeting my aunties Bel, Bins, Cush and Jac, my uncle Rog and my cousins Ella and Libby. I got to have a bath with my big cousins which was great fun.
My Granny held me because I'm still too little to sit up by myself.

Out on the farm

Luckily the bad weather cleared up a bit and I was able to go out and help Dad on the farm. I liked watching the sheep and dogs. Their barking didn't worry me one bit! I definitely think I'm a farm girl.

Interislander Ferry trip

Today Mum, Dad and I crossed over to the North Island on the ferry. It was a bit rough, with 4m swells and was late leaving because of the cancelled crossings a few days ago. Dad got a bit sick but Mum and I were fine. It took us about 12 hours to get up to the Hawkes Bay where my Pa & Granny live but I only slept a bit over an hour during the whole trip.

Watching TV

I like watching TV. Mum tells me that it's bad for me but I watch it anyway. Mum tries to lie me down so I can't see the TV but I move around so I can see it, haha.

6 week check up

Today I had my 6 week check up and immunisation injections. The check was fine, I was so good letting the lady poke & prod me and then it was injection time. I cried a little bit but Mum was worse than me! The nurse even asked her if she wanted to leave but she stayed with me. After a drink I was all smiles again like nothing ever happened, much to Mum's relief.
